To tell a guy you are attracted to him, say Tu me plais. The phrase is the same as for a girl and is clearly romantic. It is also called Je t'aime bien and Je t'apprécie.

Je t'aime bien is lighter and friendlier, and can be used with a male friend as well. Je t'apprécie is polite and warm.
How does it change in a sentence?
No part of these phrases changes with the gender of the listener. Only an adjective added afterwards would, as in Tu me plais, tu es mignon, where mignon is masculine.
What mistakes should you avoid?
Avoid je t'aime if you only mean "I like you", because it means "I love you".
