To a girl you can say हाय (haay) and follow it with कैसी हो? (kaisi ho?), "how are you?" The word नमस्ते (namaste) is the polite choice when you do not know her well. It is also called हाय, कैसी हो? (haay, kaisi ho?).

The greeting हाय (haay) does not change for a girl. What changes is the question after it, which uses कैसी (kaisi) for a girl and कैसे (kaise) for a boy.
