Did you know?
- While मैं is the standard word for 'I', some speakers in certain regions or social contexts use हम (we) to refer to themselves as a single person. In these cases, हम भी can actually mean 'me too'.
- The particle भी used in मैं भी originates from the Sanskrit word अपि, which originally meant 'close by' or 'near' before it evolved to mean 'also'.
- In Hindi, the particle भी can be moved to different positions in a sentence to change the emphasis of what is being 'added' to the conversation.
