In Colombia you say Te extraño to a friend or partner, and Me haces mucha falta when you want to say it with more feeling. It is also called Lo extraño.

Which one should you use?
Echar de menos also exists, but in Colombia extrañar is the verb you will hear most.
Is it said differently in some regions?
Colombians often use usted even with people they love. A child may say Mamá, la extraño (about a woman) or Papá, lo extraño, using la or lo as "you" with usted.
