Aproveite fits holidays, parties, free time or a purchase. Bom apetite is only for food.
Which one should you use?
The verb curtir is a very Brazilian way of saying "to enjoy", and it is also what you do to a post on social media. Aproveitar is the more neutral word.
How does it change in a sentence?
Use aproveite for o senhor or a senhora and for você in careful speech. Many Brazilians also say aproveita to a friend.
