In Lebanese Arabic "thunder" is رعد (raʿd). Lightning is برق (barʔ), and the two words often come together.
People say صوت الرعد (ṣōt er-raʿd) for the sound of thunder. During a storm you might hear عم يرعد (ʿam yerʿed), "it is thundering".

How do you pronounce it?
The ع is a deep sound made at the back of the throat, so رعد is not the same as رد.
