In Egyptian Arabic, "delicious" is لذيذ (lazeez). In casual talk Egyptians also say تحفة (tohfa), "a masterpiece", or يجنن (yegannen), "it drives you crazy".

You can praise a cook with الأكل تحفة (el-akl tohfa) or الأكل ده يجنن (el-akl da yegannen). Another everyday phrase is طعمه حلو (ta'mu helw).
When do people say it?
After a meal it is polite to say تسلم إيدك (teslam eidik), "bless your hands", to whoever cooked.
