In Pakistan "ugly" in Urdu is بدصورت (badsūrat). It is used for people, places and things, and calling a person this is plainly hurtful. It is also called بھدا (bhaddā) and بدشکل (badshakl).

Is there a formal and an informal way to say it?
The same word works for ordinary objects, as in یہ عمارت بدصورت ہے (yeh imārat badsūrat hai), "this building is ugly". Speaking of a person it is rude.
