Did you know?
- In internet culture, carta de reversa is used as a meme to 'return' an insult or a joke to the person who sent it, mirroring the English usage of the 'uno reverse card'.
- The Spanish word carta comes from the Ancient Greek word khártēs meaning 'papyrus'. This makes it a distant relative of the English words 'card' and 'chart'.
- Because reversa is a direct loanword from English, it might sound more like a technical term for a car's 'reverse' gear than a game component to a native speaker.
