How does it change in a sentence?
The reading changes with the number. It is ふん (fun) after 2, 5, 7 and 9, and ぷん (pun) after 1, 3, 4, 6, 8 and 10. So 1 minute is 一分 (ippun), 3 minutes is 三分 (sanpun) and 5 minutes is 五分 (gofun).
