What does it mean word for word?
The phrase is composed of quieres (you want), un (a) and abrazo (hug).
Which one should you use?

Did you know?
- While ¿quieres un abrazo? asks for a hug, a common way to end a letter or email is un abrazo, which acts as a warm sign-off similar to 'best wishes' or 'warmly'.
- In many Spanish-speaking cultures, an abrazo is not just for comfort but is a standard greeting between male friends, often accompanied by a pat on the back.
- The word abrazo shares a root with the Latin bracchium, meaning 'arm'. This makes the word for 'hug' literally a reference to the arms used to perform the action.
