About Kalenjin

Kalenjin is a group of closely related Nilotic dialects spoken by the Kalenjin peoples of western Kenya, mainly in the highlands of the Rift Valley. Among them are Nandi, Kipsigis, Keiyo, Tugen and Marakwet. The Kalenjin numbered about 6.4 million at the 2019 census, and most speakers also use Swahili and English.
