About Blackfoot

Blackfoot is the language of the Blackfoot Confederacy: the Siksika, Kainai and Piikani nations in Alberta in Canada and the Blackfeet Nation in Montana in the United States. It belongs to the Algonquian family. Most fluent speakers are elders, and community schools teach it to children. A common greeting is Oki, hello.
