How do you pronounce it?
/spenθeɾ/
Did you know?
- In some Spanish-speaking countries, a spencer is not a person but a type of short, tight-fitting jacket or bolero.
- If a Spanish speaker refers to un spencer using the masculine article, they are almost certainly talking about the jacket and not a person.
- The phonetic structure of spencer can lead to confusion in fast speech, as the 's' cluster at the start is not native to Spanish phonology and may be slightly altered by native speakers.
