MVR stands for Motor Vehicle Record, the official driving history a motor vehicle agency keeps for each licensed driver. In Spanish it is called historial de manejo. It is also called historial de conducción.

Spanish has no short form of its own, so in the United States many Spanish speakers simply say el MVR in conversation. Insurance companies and employers ask for this record to check traffic violations, accidents and license suspensions.

In Spain the same record is usually called historial de conducción, since Spain uses conducir where Latin America uses manejar for driving.
