In Egyptian Arabic, beer is بيرة (bira), a loanword used everywhere in Egypt.
In a bar you can order بيرة (bira) or ask for a brand. Stella is the best known Egyptian beer, and Egyptians just say ستيلا (stella).

When do people say it?
Alcohol is sold in licensed bars, hotels and shops in Egypt, but many Egyptians do not drink for religious reasons, so ask politely.
