Kapampangan

About Kapampangan

Kapampangan is spoken in the provinces of Pampanga and Tarlac on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. It is one of the major regional languages of the country, distinct from Tagalog even though the two regions are neighbours, and most speakers also speak Tagalog and English. Kapampangan has an old script of its own, Kulitan, which is being taught again, but everyday writing uses the Latin alphabet.
